About Me

Ruch Farms
I was raised in a rural community between Indianapolis and Lafayette in Central Indiana. In 2003 I graduated from Frankfort Senior High School in Frankfort, IN and the following fall I attended Ivy Tech State College with an undeclared major. Towards the end of my first “academically troubling” semester I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve searching for discipline to help guide me in my path to a successful career as well as in life.

In the summer of 2005 I volunteered for my first deployment with the U.S. Marines which landed me on a Combined Joint Task Force in the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom stationed aboard Camp Lemonier just outside Djibouti City, Djibouti. Upon returning to Indiana in the spring of 2006 I decided to move to Arlington, Texas to continue my education at Tarrant Country Community College. My stay at TCCC was short lived as enrolled in the University of North Texas in the fall of 2006 seeking a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management.
In the summer of 2007 I returned to active duty with the United States Marine Corps Reserve by volunteering for my second deployment. My fellow Marines and I from the 2nd Battalion 14th Marine Regiment were attached to 2nd Battalion 24th Marine Regiment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom stationed aboard Camp Habbaniyah in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq. After being gone from Texas for almost a year and just days prior the start of the fall 2008 semester I returned to the University of North Texas to continue my pursuit of graduation. On January 26th of 2010 I successfully and honorably completed my tenure with the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was formally released to the Inactive Ready Reserves.

My Mother & I Playing Golf at Desert Mountain

I found one of my life’s passions, the Private Club Industry, while completing an internship at The Dallas Country Club in Dallas, TX during the summer of 2009. The following summer I completed an internship at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, OK. In August of 2010 I moved to Scottsdale, AZ to join a team at one of the nation’s premier private clubs, Desert Mountain Club, Inc in Scottsdale, AZ.
I am currently a proud member of the Leadership Operating Board for the Sigma Chi International Fraternity, a Life Loyal Sigma Chi, a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a Professional Member of the Club Managers Association of America, a Member of a Mastermind Group consisting of young Private Club Industry Leaders, and an upcoming Member of Toastmasters International.  In my spare time I enjoy playing golf, reading, networking as well as almost anything that will advance my chosen profession or myself as an individual.
